Ohaiyo Gozaimasu!! When Lydia initially applied to be a part of this film, she had no idea that it (both the story and the process) would play such a huge part in her growth as both a filmmaker and a (sort of) well-rounded human being. She joined the project with the intention of taking on a challenge and gaining the experience of making a movie in a different country.
After about 7 months of pre-production and literally just a month of production, she can say that it has been a much bigger and far better challenge than she could have ever imagined. Her passion has always been storytelling and she pursued film because of it. That being said, Cicada is a fantastic story and Lydia can't wait to see where it goes from here.
